With reference to its previous comments, the Committee notes the information supplied by the Government concerning Articles 7 and 8 of the Convention.
Article 1. The Committee notes that the Central Organisation for General Mobilisation and Statistics is preparing the publication of bulletins on statistics of wages and hours of work for the years after 1978. It notes that these data will be transmitted to the Office as soon as possible. The Committee hopes that the Government will take the necessary measures to accelerate the publication of the bulletins mentioned above and for their transmission with the next report.
Article 12. The Committee notes the information concerning the measures that are necessary for the compilation and publication of index numbers showing the general movement of earnings, and the Government's statement that the process is made difficult by the delay in publishing statistics. The Committee hopes that in the near future the Government will be able to take the measures referred to in its report to give effect to this Article, and that it will indicate the progress achieved in this respect in its future reports.
