Managing the Inspectorate for Strategic Labour Laws Compliance Executive Course

Regional managers of DOLE gained better understanding on legal and technical aspects of labour inspection to help improve quality, consistency and policy coherence of decisions and enforcement powers. With the support of the ILO USDOL Project on Building the Capacity of the Philippines Labour Inspectorate, the course further contributed to strategically managing the labour inspectorate for improved labour laws compliance, based on inspection data and labour market information.

Improving OSH in Small and Micro Enterprises

The objective of this course is to provide participants with the necessary concepts, methodologies, theories and techniques, and to develop the skills required to advise on and carry out OSH management in SMEs. The course focuses on OSH issues common to SMEs with limited human and financial resources, often operating in informal situations, and disseminates the ILO principles and concepts relating to OSH, participatory approaches and economic incentives for promoting compliance in SMEs, as well as selected international good practices.

Employment injury schemes and the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases

The objective of the course is to strengthen the capacity of employment injury institutions in managing occupational accidents and diseases and to promote preventive approaches to OSH. The course is based on the ILO's long experience in this field and facilitates the sharing of selected innovative strategies that have been successful in promoting proactive preventive approaches to OSH involving employment injury schemes.
