THIRD ITEM ON THE AGENDA
Invitation of intergovernmental and non-governmental
international organizations
(a) Symposium on the Social and Labour Consequences of
Technological Developments, Deregulation and
Privatization of Transport
(Geneva, 20-24 September 1999)
1. In addition to the non-governmental international organizations that have general consultative status with the ILO, it is proposed to invite the following organizations to be represented by observers at the symposium:
- Aircraft Engineers International;
- Airports Council International;
- Civil Air Navigation Services Organization;
- Community of European Railways;
- International Air Carrier Association;
- International Air Transport Association;
- International Confederation of Railwaymen and Transport Builders Trade Union;
- International Federation of Air Line Pilots Associations;
- International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations;
- International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronic Associations;
- International Federation of Trade Unions of Transport Workers;
- International Federation of Transport Executives;
- International Flight Attendants Association;
- International Organization for Standardization;
- International Road Federation;
- International Road Transport Union;
- International Transport Group;
- International Transport Workers' Federation;
- International Union of Railways;
- Public Services International;
- Trade Unions International of Transport Workers.
2. The Committee on Sectoral and Technical Meetings and Related Issues may wish to recommend that the Governing Body authorize the Director-General to invite the non-governmental international organizations listed above to be represented by observers at the Symposium on the Social and Labour Consequences of Technological Developments, Deregulation and Privatization of Transport.
(b) Tripartite Meeting on the Human Resources Implications of Globalization and Restructuring in Commerce
(Geneva, 25-29 October 1999)
3. In addition to the non-governmental international organizations that have general consultative status with the ILO, it is proposed to invite the following organizations to be represented by observers at the meeting:
- International Federation of Business and Professional Women
- International Federation of Commercial, Clerical, Professional and Technical Employees;
- International Federation of University Women;
- World Federation of Clerical Workers.
4. The Committee on Sectoral and Technical Meetings and Related Issues may wish to recommend that the Governing Body authorize the Director-General to invite the non-governmental international organizations listed above to be represented by observers at the Tripartite Meeting on the Human Resources Implications of Globalization and Restructuring in Commerce.
(c) Tripartite Meeting on Safety and Health in the Fishing Industry
(Geneva, 13-17 December 1999)
5. In addition to the non-governmental international organizations that have general consultative status with the ILO, it is proposed to invite the following organizations to be represented by observers at the meeting:
- European Transport Federation;
- International Christian Maritime Association;
- International Collective in Support of Fishworkers;
- International Federation of Trade Unions of Transport Workers;
- International Maritime Health Association;
- International Transport Workers' Federation.
6. The Committee on Sectoral and Technical Meetings and Related Issues may wish to recommend that the Governing Body authorize the Director-General to invite the non-governmental international organizations listed above to be represented by observers at the Tripartite Meeting on Safety and Health in the Fishing Industry.
