South Africa 9 November 2002 (National Dialogue)
 

  The National Dialogue on the Social Dimension of Globalization in South Africa was held in Johannesburg. As agreed with NEDLAC (National Economic Development and Labour Council), it was part of the NEDLAC Annual Summit. One of its four commissions (workshops) was devoted to the World Commission dialogue. The main agenda of the dialogue was obtaining the views of stakeholders on globalization. The meeting was chaired by Advocate Rams Ramashia (Government). Key issues and concerns, main policy recommendations were presented by Lord Bill Brett (ILO), Mr. Zwelinzima Vavi (Labour), Mr. Vic van Vuuren (Business) and Mr. Ebrahim Patel (Labour).
