Agenda

Some practical information which responds to queries received.


The detailed agenda on how the Regional Meeting will proceed is under preparation. In the meantime, the following preliminary information is made available:

All sessions will be in plenary (Governing Body Room of the ILO) to debate the Director-General's report.

  • Interpretation facilities will be available in French, English, Spanish, German and Russian.
  • There are no committees envisaged.
  • A small tripartite Working Party will be established for the elaboration of the conclusions of the Regional Meeting (and for resolutions, if any).
  • Group meetings, as usual, are envisaged during the duration of the Regional Meeting.
  • The first Group meeting is scheduled on Tuesday 12 December from 9 - 11 am.
  • The opening session will start at 11am with the opening speeches and the election of the Chair and the three Vice-Chairs.
  • A special plenary sitting is envisaged with keynote speakers on "Information and Communication Technology and Decent Work for All".
  • A brief plenary event is also under consideration with regard to the ratification campaign of Convention 182.
  • The Regional Meeting will conclude on Friday 15 December with the adoption of the report of the Meeting, after the adoption of its conclusions, (and of resolutions, if any).
